Tera's products
IoT control units conceived and created according to the Edge Computing paradigm, Linux-based enabling technologies that simplify the implementation of modular, scalable and flexible solutions, remotely updateable, thanks to the embedded software equipment oriented towards the no-code approach / “Low-code” with user friendly UX and UI.
Beeta Box
BEETA® BOX (also known as BeetaBox or BEETABOX) is a peripheral computer designed for IoT ecosystems (IoT Edge Computer), particularly for indoor applications (Building, Office, Home) for use in supervised environments (it is also a design object, with a registered design). Like the GIoE, it is considered top of the range in the range of Tera solutions. It is based on the LINUX Embedded platform, allowing the implementation of software solutions that can be run in standalone mode or interfaced with remote web services. The use of standardized protocols and communication interfaces makes this electronic control unit an unprecedented multi-protocol gateway, allowing for complete configurability, modularity and scalability of the BeetaBox. The embedded software can be updated remotely (OTA), a valuable feature for the maintenance and updating of the BeetaBox, ensuring that the number of devices and protocols supported is compatible and aligned with market developments. In combination with the BEETA POWER it also allows for the reading of tax electricity meters (User Device, chain2, like the READER of which it has the same form factor).
GioE
The GIoE (Gateway for the Internet of Everything) is an Edge Computer specifically designed for IoT ecosystems, particularly in Industry applications in the broad sense, top of the range in the range of Tera products. Based on a LINUX embedded platform, it allows the implementation of software solutions that can be run in standalone mode or interfaced with remote web services. The use of standardized protocols and communication interfaces makes this electronic control unit an unprecedented multi-protocol gateway, allowing for complete configurability, modularity and scalability of the GIoE, whose embedded software can be updated remotely (OTA). This feature is essential for the maintenance and updating of the GIoE and to ensure that the number of devices and protocols supported is compatible and aligned with market developments.
Beeta Reader
BEETA® READER (or simply READER) is a device that can be classified as both an edge computer with multi-protocol gateway functionality and a User Device (DU) capable of interfacing with second-generation electric meters (gen2 Smart Meters). As a DU (defined according to ARERA resolution 87/2016/R/eel), the READER is able to communicate with Smart Meters using Power Line Communication (PLC) according to the technical requirements specified in the CEI TS 13-82/83/84 standards. The device is equipped with a PLC modem that operates on the waves conveyed directly in the electrical network in both the C band (25 kHz - 140 kHz) and the A band (the band of the first generation e-Distribuzione Smart Meters). The communication takes place both with exchange meters and with production meters and, in the case of prosumer photovoltaic systems, the same DU can read both meters present. In the case of systems used in applications related to Mixed Virtual Aggregate Units (UVAM) and Energy Communities, the device is able to read the tax power values with a higher frequency (at least one reading per minute).
Beeta MoCo
Beeta® Moco (or simply MoCo) is a small-scale edge computer, one of the smallest in the world, that can be used in both Smart Building and Energy applications. In fact, MoCo falls within the broad category of Smart Grids Controller devices for managing the functionalities of smart grids, such as Demand Response, BESS-Battery Energy Storage Systems, Modulation Control. The Beeta MoCo is an intelligent device useful, for example, for monitoring and managing the bidirectional energy flows of battery storage inverters and other electrical equipment and loads, and can also be used in retrofit applications. The Beeta MoCo can also be used in combination with third-party software platforms, both local and cloud-based, for the implementation of integrated energy flow management systems in smart grids and energy communities.
DCP (SW)
The DCP (Device Configuration Platform) is an embedded software package (residing on board Tera's edge devices), also classifiable as middleware, that allows the configuration and management of the functionalities of Tera's edge computing devices through a dedicated graphical interface. The DCP is accessible via a browser by connecting to the device's IP address in a LAN. The DCP has three main elements: a menu with the available functionalities, a menu with the general settings and a section with the information and settings of the selected functionality. The DCP has a guest mode and an admin mode, which requires the root password of the device. The admin mode allows access to all the advanced features of the DCP.
